Concrete Sealing

#1 Penetrating Concrete Sealer

Poured Concrete is riddled with interconnected capillary channels that permit penetration by liquids. These porous channels act like a sponge, and capillary action draws in fluids over time, along with dissolved salts and other solutes. Very absorbent surfaces, such as Concrete, absorb liquids relatively quickly. Properly sealing your Concrete will help prevent the penetration of fluids such as oils, fertilizer rust, irrigation rust, battery acid, oil, chemicals, and other liquids and prevent mildew buildup. Additionally, our sealers increase the tensile strength by up to 30%, retarding cracking or chipping of the Concrete.

Interesting Tidbit: The word Concrete comes from the Latin word “concretus,” which means compact or condensed. Concrete was used in ancient Egypt, Babylon, Assyria, and the Roman Empire in its earliest form.

Advantages of Sealed Concrete.

Concrete is a very porous material, susceptible to all kinds of staining and marking. Oil, grease, and rust are nearly impossible to remove because they are so easily absorbed. In addition, unsealed Concrete retains water for long periods, creating an ideal situation for mold and mildew to grow.

  • Permanent water and moisture-proofing
  • Reinforces the density & hardness of the Concrete by up to 30%
  • Reduces cracking, dusting & efflorescence of the Concrete
  • Protects against the intense Florida sun and other natural elements
  • Protects Concrete from absorbing oil, rust, and other stains
  • Resists Moss, Mold, and algae Growth Due To Water Repellency
  • Discourages the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew, and algae
  • Extends the life of a painted concrete building & decorative Concrete
  • IDEAL for Commercial Concrete and high-traffic concrete areas
  • ALL IN 1 DAY PROCESS! It gives you less downtime to have your car back in the garage or kids back in the pool within 24 hours of application!
  • Exclusive warranty on groundwork (concrete driveways, sidewalks, parking garages, stairwells, etc.)

 Concrete Sealing is a Process:

  • Here are a few quick steps on how we do it differently.
  • Pre-treat with cleaner & degreaser
  • Chemical removal/lightning of stains/rust/oil
  • Thorough power washing
  • Post-treat with a brightener made specifically for Concrete
  • High-Volume rinse
  • Repeat if necessary
  • LIBERAL coats of Our Concrete Sealer (some companies will say this is a 1-coat sealant – additional coats will be wasted as they can no longer penetrate, which is incorrect. If done right, ask us, and we can show you how it is done.)

Why should you seal your Concrete?

Concrete is one of the most popular surfaces in the world, and it is used in countless applications. You can’t go far without encountering something made from Concrete, from concrete floors and pool decks to driveways and sidewalks.

While there are plenty of excellent properties that Concrete brings to any project, its tendency to absorb moisture and allow mold and mildew to develop is something you would probably like to fix.
The best way to reduce algae and mildew growth in Concrete is not to allow water to enter the Concrete in the first place; that is precisely what our Concrete Sealer will do for you.

Starting in 2022, All properties will receive the Stain guard upgrade. For a homeowner, commercial property, or business owner, ongoing maintenance on concrete surfaces is an expense you would love to eliminate or dramatically reduce. For the homeowner, caring for the concrete surfaces around your home is probably a chore you dread performing each year. The good news is that the commercial property owner and the homeowner can take Concrete cleaning off their to-do list by contacting us to seal your Concrete. We have a product specifically for Commercial and Industrial Concrete, and All Commercial and Residential Estimates are given with this Product.

Water creates the need for concrete maintenance, and we will ensure that the water never gets a chance to start any trouble in/on your Concrete.

Sealed Concrete after only 15 minutes

Of course, there is already a well-known method of cleaning concrete surfaces that have become coated in dirt, contaminants, and mildew. It’s called power washing or pressure washing, and it is one of the most frustrating and time-consuming maintenance tasks for our commercial and residential clients.

Anyone who has worked to clean a concrete surface using a power washer or pressure washer knows just how difficult it can be. Not only is power washing a difficult chore to complete, but it is also only a temporary solution. You may be able to blast the mold and mildew off the surface of the Concrete for now, but it will undoubtedly be coming back in a short period. Since pressure washing is done with water, you are providing the moisture needed for the next round of mold and mildew to begin to grow! In addition, consistent power washing can wear down the surface tension, exposing the aggregate, which can eventually cause dusting and breaking of Concrete.

About Concrete Sealer

Whether the surface in question is Concrete, pavers, stone, or many other options, Nano Sealer can provide a hydrophobic layer that will reduce the growth of mold and mildew for years!

Our Sealer is a solvent- or water-based nanotechnology coating that contains a proprietary modified silicone, penetrating, V.O.C. compliant water-repellent. This solvent-based silicone penetrates up to 1/4 inch or more, depending on surface porosity and moisture content at the time of application. Hydrophobic Concrete Sealer reacts with Concrete, Pavers, and Stone Minerals. This reaction forms strong permanent bonds beneath the surface and creates a hydrophobic zone that prevents water molecules from penetrating while allowing the free migration of water vapors. The chemical bonds formed in this process allow Our Nano Sealer to become an integral part of the substrate and provide long-term water-repellent protection.

Nano Sealer water-repellent products create long-lasting protection (up to 15 years) from harmful environmental effects. Our products were designed to combat these problems, increasing treated structures’ longevity and decreasing maintenance costs. In addition, effective hydrophobization is possible without using inorganic compounds.

Moisture is the root cause of almost all mechanisms that damage mineral-based building materials. The porous nature of mineral substrates soaks up the water-containing contaminants via capillary suction. This fact causes many damaging effects on the substrate. Therefore, preventing water ingress into a substrate structure can eliminate the risk of damage to the substrate caused by moisture.

Conventional coatings, like polymeric, prevent water ingress but simultaneously seal off the pores, blocking water within. This results in the inner decay of the substrate. At the same time, they are not resistant to UV radiation or scratches, allowing water to penetrate again.

Nano Sealer is 100% U.V. resistant. This means the harsh Florida sun WILL NOT have any effect on this concrete sealer! Many sealants are produced for concrete sealing. However, NONE is geared towards Florida’s VERY HARSH UV exposure caused by our intense Florida sun – making all the other sealants last only 1-2 years. Our warranty will back up our concrete sealer on flatwork (driveways, sidewalks, parking garages, stairwells, commercial properties, etc.) – and lab testing has shown the concrete sealant to maintain a water bead at the 10-year mark!

This product is ideal for ALL CONCRETE, TRAVERTINE, and SHELLOCK applications, including commercial sidewalks throughout neighborhood communities and city property; poured Concrete is typically found on driveways and sidewalks, sea-wall, and cinder block, which is used to waterproof homes, buildings, and concrete tile roof sealing as well, this product works well on Travertine, helps protect the beautiful stone without changing the appearance.

Sealing Concrete isn’t as simple as pressure cleaning it and spraying a sealer down. There are dozens of factors that come into play on every single job, which will depend on application time, method, saturation requirement, and if it can be done at that moment. Ground moisture levels play a significant part in sealing – every job gets a moisture test to ensure the product will not have any adverse reactions. Something that can happen when Concrete isn’t appropriately sealed is moisture can become trapped between the Concrete and the sealant, turning your surface white or yellow—requiring a VERY COSTLY (usually $4/sq ft) stripping of the failed sealant and re-application.

We are one of Florida’s most experienced concrete and paver sealing companies. We are Manufacture Trained, certified for every product we carry and use, and a ICPI Certified Contractor. We have all of the products, equipment, enviro safe chemicals, sealants, and knowledge to ensure every project is completed to the peak of perfection. This is not a job for the “do it yourself” homeowner, general contractor, or handyman who claims to be a “jack of all trades.” About 50% of our business is on the restoration side of things. Stripping off other contractors’ failed work is a common task we perform that is very labor-intensive and requires expensive chemicals. And believe me – we will charge accordingly! To – protect your home and your checkbook, hire us the first time.

*Hydrophobic warranty means water will bead on the surface.
