Very absorbent surfaces, such as Concrete, absorb liquids relatively quickly. Properly sealing your Concrete will help prevent the penetration of fluids such as oils, fertilizer rust, irrigation rust, battery acid, oil, chemicals, and other liquids and prevent mildew buildup. Additionally, our sealers increase the tensile strength by up to 30%, retarding cracking or chipping of the Concrete.

Why should you seal your Concrete?

Concrete is one of the most popular surfaces in the world, and it is used in countless applications. You can’t go far without encountering something made from Concrete, from concrete floors and pool decks to driveways and sidewalks.

Anyone who has worked to clean a concrete surface using a power washer or pressure washer knows just how difficult it can be. Not only is power washing a difficult chore to complete, but it is also only a temporary solution. You may be able to blast the mold and mildew off the surface of the Concrete for now, but it will undoubtedly be coming back in a short period. Since pressure washing is done with water, you are providing the moisture needed for the next round of mold and mildew to begin to grow! In addition, consistent power washing can wear down the surface tension, exposing the aggregate, which can eventually cause dusting and breaking of Concrete.

About Concrete Sealer

Whether the surface in question is Concrete, pavers, stone, or many other options, Nano Sealer can provide a hydrophobic layer that will reduce the growth of mold and mildew for years!

Our Sealer is a solvent- or water-based nanotechnology coating that contains a proprietary modified silicone, penetrating, V.O.C. compliant water-repellent. This solvent-based silicone penetrates up to 1/4 inch or more, depending on surface porosity and moisture content at the time of application. Hydrophobic Concrete Sealer reacts with Concrete, Pavers, and Stone Minerals. This reaction forms strong permanent bonds beneath the surface and creates a hydrophobic zone that prevents water molecules from penetrating while allowing the free migration of water vapors. The chemical bonds formed in this process allow Our Nano Sealer to become an integral part of the substrate and provide long-term water-repellent protection.

Nano Sealer water-repellent products create long-lasting protection (up to 15 years) from harmful environmental effects. Our products were designed to combat these problems, increasing treated structures’ longevity and decreasing maintenance costs. In addition, effective hydrophobization is possible without using inorganic compounds.

Moisture is the root cause of almost all mechanisms that damage mineral-based building materials. The porous nature of mineral substrates soaks up the water-containing contaminants via capillary suction. This fact causes many damaging effects on the substrate. Therefore, preventing water ingress into a substrate structure can eliminate the risk of damage to the substrate caused by moisture.

Conventional coatings, like polymeric, prevent water ingress but simultaneously seal off the pores, blocking water within. This results in the inner decay of the substrate. At the same time, they are not resistant to UV radiation or scratches, allowing water to penetrate again.

Nano Sealer is 100% U.V. resistant. This means the harsh Florida sun WILL NOT have any effect on this concrete sealer! Many sealants are produced for concrete sealing. However, NONE is geared towards Florida’s VERY HARSH UV exposure caused by our intense Florida sun – making all the other sealants last only 1-2 years. Our warranty will back up our concrete sealer on flatwork (driveways, sidewalks, parking garages, stairwells, commercial properties, etc.) – and lab testing has shown the concrete sealant to maintain a water bead at the 10-year mark!
